A day in the life of a freshman at The University of Alabama

This is the day in the life of a freshman at The University of Alabama, who has a job, is in a sorority, and is in clubs.

Wednesday, March 2

7:00 am

After snoozing a few alarms I wake up, stretch, and go on my phone to catch on up all my social media, texts, emails, etc

7:30 am

I get out of bed, change into workout clothes, brush my teeth and hair, and do my skincare routine.

8:00 am

I have my weekly meeting for my internship with my Alabama team to go over deliveries and ideas for the week.

9:00 am - 10:00 am

I am at the gym. Every time I always do 30 minutes on the treadmill at a pace of 3.0-3.5. Depending on the day depends on what I do after that. On this particular day, I went to the ab room and did butt and abs. I did a workout by lexi hidago, I absolutely love her and her lifestyle.

10:00 am -10:30 am

I go back to my dorm and shower. Then I start getting ready for the day. That included skincare, outfit, brushing my teeth, hair routine, jewelry, and makeup.

10:30 am - 10:45 am

After being up for a few hours by this time I’m starving so I walk to my sorority house for lunch. Rush Delta Gamma.

10:45 am - 11:00 am

I sit in the dining room and do internship things, like talking to different freshmen, writing on whiteboards, and sending emails. Usually, at this time I can get my study hours in. At Delta Gamma, every member has a certain amount of study hours we have to do each week based on our GPA.

11:00 am -11:30 am

I ate lunch with my friends Lauryn, Grace, and Athenna. Today was grilled cheese and tomato soup. This is probably one of my favorite meals that the house makes.

11:30 am - 12:30 pm

I went back to doing more work. I finished sending the emails I was working on before. I had lots to do today so I was trying to get as much done as I could.

12:30 pm - 12:45 pm

I walked to class with my friend Grace. Today was our warmest day so far at 75 degrees. It was so nice and beautiful, with the wind it was still a little chilly.

1:00 pm - 1:50 pm

I have Britsh Literature. We go over our readings for the day that we had to read. Today we were going over Doctor Faustus acts 3 and 4.

2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

I did more school work and internship work. Again I had lots to hammer out for the day.

4:30 pm - 7:45 pm

Brooklyn, Molly Anne, and I all went to the basketball game against Texas A&M. Unfortunately we lost. None of us had been to a basketball game yet so it was definitely a fun experience and you will be catching us at more sporting events.

7:45 pm - 11:00 pm

We all headed back to our dorms. I had some soup for dinner and then started my night routine. I brushed my teeth and hair. I did my skin routine and changed into my pj’s. I talked on the phone with my long-distance boyfriend before turning in for the night and doing this all over again tomorrow.

My days all look different depending on what classes I have that day and depending on if I have to work. Even semesters look different. My life is usually way more chaotic in the fall because of football season. Roll Tide!
