Storage Scholars has no hidden fees, and the fastest way to show that is to print the price list rather than promise it.
Pricing is variable rather than flat, so the bill tracks what you actually store. What each item costs, what the four month minimum commits you to, the one charge that catches people out, and what you are never billed for.

Four things are included in the price. Everything that can be billed on top is here too, and every line is explained in full below.
We price each piece, not a unit. A student storing four things pays for four things. If you would rather know the number before pickup, there is a prepaid plan instead.
per item, per month
of any size, one preset price
The total moves with what you store, which is the honest answer to why two friends at the same school get different bills. The pricing calculator gives your number before you book.
It is a term of sale, disclosed at signup, not a charge that appears later.
Every order carries a four month minimum billing term. Booking storage for six weeks still bills four months, and we state that before you pay.
What the minimum does not do is hold your belongings hostage. If your things are already in storage and the term has not run out, you can still request delivery whenever you want them back.

These are in the price, and a surprising number of people expect a line item for them.
Delivery to an off-campus address within roughly three miles of the school is covered on the same terms. Book any move at least a week ahead, because move-in and move-out weeks fill.
The four people ask about most. Each one is optional, avoidable, or both.
The campus dates are free, and any other day needs a dedicated truck and a two-person crew making a special trip. We pass that dispatch cost through, and the record of when we reduced or waived it is on our complaints page.
Most students ship 4 to 12 items, which comes to $200 to $600. The kit of five medium boxes, tape and five FedEx labels is free. Items go to the dorm room itself rather than the campus mailroom.
Basic ($15 a month) or Premium, added before pickup. Without either, every item is still covered at 60 cents per lb.
This is not a charge we add. Per-item pricing means the count at pickup sets the total, which is the usual reason a bill lands higher than expected.
Including the parts people forget to count.
Every dollar, over the 4-month minimum

We will not pretend this is always the cheaper option.
A family with a car, a free weekend and a storage unit nearby can beat our price on raw dollars. What you are buying instead is no truck to drive, no unit to find, and nobody rearranging finals week around a rental booking.

Pricing, the minimum term, and the charges students ask about most.
No. Nothing is billed beyond the published price list, and storage runs $14 to $40 per item per month by size tier.
The four month minimum billing term is stated at signup. Anything else on the bill is a charge you choose or trigger, such as a move outside your campus dates at up to $300, Ship to School at $50 per item, or a Basic or Premium value protection plan. Every one is in the price list above.
Usually because more items were handed over at pickup than were counted in the estimate. With per-item pricing, the count at pickup sets the total.
Your crew assigns each item a size tier at pickup, and every item is photographed and logged at the same time. The total tracks what you actually hand over, itemised in your portal.
You are billed for four months either way. Every order carries a four month minimum billing term, stated at signup, so booking storage for six weeks still bills four months.
The minimum does not hold your belongings hostage. If your things are in storage and the term has not run out, you can still request delivery whenever you want them back. Abroad storage runs up to 270 days and bills month to month after the four month minimum.
Pickup and delivery are free on your campus dates, which we set from each school's most common move days and post each spring.
Any other day needs a dedicated truck and a two-person crew making a special trip. We pass that dispatch cost through, and the record of when we reduced or waived it is on our complaints page.
Every item is covered automatically at 60 cents per lb, with nothing to opt into. For more cover, add Basic ($15 a month, up to $1,000) or Premium (up to $2,500) value protection before pickup.
Every piece is photographed and recorded at pickup in the item log, which you and a parent can see through delivery.
