Penn State's spring move-out hits like a wall. Over 40,000 students finish finals in a matter of days, and University Housing closes at 4 PM on the Saturday and Sunday of move-out weekend -- May 9 and May 10 this year. That's a hard deadline. East Halls, Pollock Halls, and Eastview Terrace go first on Saturday. Every other hall follows Sunday. If you're in a residence hall, you have a narrow window to clear your room, clean your assigned space, and get every last item out. And if you're one of the thousands of students in off-campus apartments along Beaver Avenue or Atherton Street, you're dealing with lease turnover chaos, limited parking, and the same compressed timeline.

Storage Scholars handles the logistics so you can focus on finals. We pick up your belongings directly from your dorm room or apartment, store everything in a climate-controlled facility, and deliver it to your new room when you return to campus in the fall. No renting a truck in a town where every U-Haul disappears by mid-April. No convincing your parents to make the four-hour round trip from Philadelphia or Pittsburgh just to haul furniture. No cramming a semester's worth of stuff into a friend's already-full apartment for the summer.

State College sits in the middle of Pennsylvania's Centre County, surrounded by mountains and farmland. Summer temperatures regularly climb into the mid-80s and low 90s, with humidity that can damage electronics, wooden furniture, and anything fabric-based when left in uncontrolled environments. A cheap self-storage unit along Route 322 might be affordable, but without climate control, you're gambling with your belongings from May through August.

Storage Scholars provides fully climate-controlled storage designed around Penn State's academic calendar. Our team coordinates with University Housing's move-out schedule, picks up from your room with packing supplies included, and keeps your belongings in a temperature-regulated facility all summer. When fall move-in arrives, we deliver directly to your new room -- whether you're returning to the same hall, moving from East Halls to a Pollock suite, or switching to an apartment downtown.

Penn State draws students from across the country and around the world. If you're moving to State College from New Jersey, Maryland, or anywhere out of state, driving through the Appalachian mountains with a loaded car is one option -- but not the only one. Our ship-to-school service lets you box up your belongings at home, ship them ahead, and have them delivered directly to your dorm room on move-in day. We receive your packages at our State College facility and handle the last mile so you can fly into University Park Airport or drive in without a packed vehicle.

Whether you're relocating from East Halls to South Halls, moving from a dorm to one of the apartment complexes on College Avenue, or heading home for the summer, our team does the heavy lifting. State College's campus-area logistics are real -- limited parking near dorms, one-way streets downtown, and buildings that require specific loading zones. We've moved students through all of it: Nittany Apartments, the high-rises on Beaver Avenue, and every residence hall on campus.
